Practical guidanceYour next step, better prepared.
Practical guidance for your resume, applications and recruitment conversations.
01Resume tips
- Start with the role you want, current location and a working contact channel.
- Use clear headings and describe work you personally delivered. Include relevant tools and outcomes you can explain.
- Check dates, file readability and spelling. Leave out bank details, identity documents and information unrelated to the role.
Read the resume review guide ↗02Interview preparation
- Compare the job requirements with examples from your work or projects. Prepare one clear example for each important skill.
- Explain the situation, your own action and the outcome. Be honest about what you have not used.
- Check the confirmed time, mode and venue. Keep the coordinator’s details and required documents ready.
Prepare evidence for interviews ↗03Understand the compensation discussion
- Ask for the written breakdown: fixed pay, variable pay, benefits and the conditions attached to each.
- Do not assume annual CTC equals take-home pay. Ask the hiring team to explain the monthly structure and deductions.
- Compare work location, travel, shifts and performance expectations alongside the headline figure.
04Notice period and availability
- Check your current employment terms before confirming a joining date.
- State your realistic availability and explain any approvals still needed. Do not promise an early release you have not confirmed.
- Keep your recruiter updated if your availability changes during the process.
05Starting your career
- Show relevant coursework, projects, internships or practical work. Explain your contribution rather than listing tools alone.
- Apply where your background fits the essential criteria. Look for fresher eligibility in the individual listing.
- Prepare a short introduction covering your interests, useful skills and preferred location.
06A focused job search
- Use role, skills and location filters, then read the full requirement before applying.
- Save suitable roles and keep application references. Avoid submitting repeatedly for the same job.
- Use Job Alerts for your preferences and update your profile when your experience or availability changes.
Explore current opportunities ↗07Prepare for the workplace
- Confirm joining instructions, reporting contact and the documents required through a trusted channel.
- Ask about the first-day schedule, work mode and equipment arrangements.
- Protect personal information and clarify any unfamiliar request before sending documents.
