Ethernet Test Engineer / AVB Tester

About the role

Job Purpose

Validate Automotive Ethernet communication, AVB/TSN features and ECU integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute Automotive Ethernet test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression and system testing of Ethernet-enabled ECUs.
• Validate AVB/TSN communication and time synchronization.
• Analyze network traffic with Wireshark, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer or similar tools.
• Perform packet analysis, latency verification and synchronization testing.
• Identify and track defects with development teams; prepare test reports and validation documentation.

Technical / Functional Skills

Requirements

• Hands-on Automotive Ethernet testing, ECU integration and validation.
• Strong TCP/IP, UDP, VLAN (802.1Q), QoS and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking knowledge.
• AUTOSAR Ethernet and AVB or TSN experience.
• Understanding of gPTP/PTP and IEEE 802.1AS.
• Protocol analysis and debugging with Wireshark and Vector CANoe/CANalyzer.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Embedded Linux or RTOS.
• Basic C/C++ debugging.
• Test automation or scripting; Python is a plus.
• JIRA, ALM or similar defect-management tools.

Qualification & Preferred Industry Exposure

Required qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
