About the role
Job Purpose
Develop Bluetooth features across Android/Linux stacks, profiles and protocols, improving interoperability and performance. Collaborate with platform, telematics, UI/UX and validation teams to deliver production-ready connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize and integrate Bluetooth stack components and profiles including HFP, A2DP/AVRCP, PBAP, MAP, HID, PAN and BLE GATT.
- Modify Android Bluetooth services, framework and HAL layers; prepare implementation designs.
- Debug audio routing, SCO/eSCO, playback stutter, synchronization and call-audio issues; optimize latency and codec performance.
- Develop BLE GATT services, scanning, advertising, privacy, pairing, bonding and reconnection strategies.
- Investigate Bluetooth/Wi-Fi coexistence, connection drops, pairing failures, RF parameters and HCI flows.
- Analyze HCI snoop, air-sniffer, btmon/btsnoop, ADB/logcat and QXDM logs; perform root-cause analysis and coordinate chipset-vendor fixes.
- Support phone interoperability testing, Bluetooth SIG compliance, certification and documentation.
- Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, static analysis and Agile development under automotive quality processes.

Requirements
- Hands-on Bluetooth stack internals in Android Fluoride or BlueZ.
- Knowledge of L2CAP, SDP, GATT, RFCOMM, AVDTP, AVRCP, PBAP, MAP and HFP AT commands.
- C/C++, Java and Linux/Android system programming; understanding of controller/HCI layers and BLE address types.
- Experience with audio frameworks including AudioFlinger and audio HAL.
- PTS test execution in Launch Studio for Bluetooth SIG certification.
- RTOS and BLE chipset/SDK experience, including Nordic, Texas Instruments or NXP platforms.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Automotive infotainment on Android Automotive, QNX or Genivi.
- Qualcomm, Mediatek or NXP Bluetooth chipset exposure.
- ACL/SCO link behavior, codec tuning and automotive IVI delivery.
